Elder Bush: Jeb Should Run For President (VIDEO)

advertisement

"I think he'd be an outstanding senator ... I'd like to see him be president some day," Bush said. "Right now is probably a bad time because maybe we've had enough Bushes in there."

What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

If I was Bush 41 I would want to see Jeb as President also. It would be the only chance the Bush family would have to restore respect to the Bush name following Bush 43's shameful 8 year spectacle.

Do I think it will happen?...No way!

They must have another Bush in office to keep the New World Power going... why do you think Bush 1 had so many ties to the middle east? And Bush 2 why is it he has put us to our knees with this war in Iraq? The Bush's Great-Grandfather funded the NAZI Party... how much can we take from this hideous family?

Well we be huddling under another BUSH in eight years? Please, Please let him pick Palin for his running mate.

Can you say R-E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N

Matthew Yglesias of Think Progress apparently thinks Poppy will get his wish.

What choice does the GOP have? The last time they captured the White House without a Bush on the ticket was 1972 — eons ago. Without a Bush, they’ve got nothing.

Scary.

Paraphrasing George - The Bush family has destroyed the world enough. We need to recover before another one of my demon seeds can wreck it again. Jeb can't do too much damage as a senator.

After the massive healing and recovery that that country will undergo over the next 4-8 years, there is no way another Bush will be able to be POTUS for many years to come, if ever.

    Poor Poor Jeb!

He had to call in major political favors to save his younger dumber brother's election in 2000.  Pretty soon most of the state of Florida couldn't stand him; they even liked his brother better.

Nixon and Reagan got second chances, so you never ever know what will happen.  Besides Republicans keep beating dead horses until they become President.

Like father, like son. Neither one of them can accept the negative judgment of history. Bush 41 has been convinced for 16 years that his loss to Clinton was a fluke, and that the true measure of his success was his sky-high poll numbers right after the first Gulf war, before the "victory" turned out to be far less impressive than people had thought. And Bush 43 is convinced that somehow, someday, history will vindicate him. Meanwhile, Poppy is trying to scrub the tarnish off the family name by promoting his other son as a future dynast. Well, sorry. Jeb may be less of a slacker and bully than George, but he was raised by the same disfunctional parents. Americans will truly deserve what they get if they are stupid enough to vote for him.

I realize, sooner or later, I'm going to have to bite the bullet and finally admit to the staunch anti-war peace-monger I am.

Now that you have acknowledged that...

Here is the article for you.  :)

I read it earlier today, but didn't seed it because of a little too much "god" talk for me, but I just substitute "the universe" for god and it is a GREAT article.

No matter what you call him, he's still an Effing Bush. A member of the Bush crime family.

News to me......I wasn't aware of a Bush Crime Family, but very familiar with the Chicago Mafia and corupt Politics.  Right now that is where the News is.

      Jeb Bush for President!

Whereas Florida and Texas are pure as the driven snow. Yeah, right. Look, there's no such thing as a politician without some shady associates. The question is whether they were involved in the shady behavior themselves. Jeb Bush was instrumental in "delivering" Florida to baby bro back in 2000, using "any means necessary," from voter suppression and purges of the voting rolls to stopping the vote count by brute force.

No, I am not.  Trex does not have proof of what he has said here.  Just plain Chatter.....However you had better keep your eyes on the (Blago) Chicago politics , something interesting maybe about to come out.

Get real. The voter purge was a matter of national news. Katherine Harris's conflict of interest, as Republican campaign chairman AND Secretary of State in Florida, was flagrant and outrageous. The "Brooks Brothers Riot" to stop the vote, orchestrated by the Bush campaign, was one of the most brazenly thuggish interferences with the Democratic process in American history. Jeb's a crook, like the rest of his Family.
